My daughter is using art from Luke Dixon in her GCSE project work. I have not had much time to draw this week. Here are two dog sketches. the first vaguely in the style of Dixon, the second a bit of a mess but there it is.

They are both nice sketches
I like them both very much – the black and white one is very strong. Lovely.
I like the looseness of your lines much better than his tightly controlled ones.
And wonderful colors in the second one. (K)
Re the second one being ‘a bit of a mess’, don’t you find our landscape IS a bit of a mess at this time of year? The fontradition of strong colours, but dull colours, trees moulded into shapes, but straggling out of them, the strange one leaf left at the end of a bald branch. I think you’ve captured that feeling.
I love the line drawing. My own drawing is much tighter, less flowing.
Thank you. It would be great to see your drawing too on your blog if you ever wanted to share.
