    • Yes thanks and to Claudia too. It’s the quality of the cut print technique I think.
I’m thinking of investing in a home press but not cheap. I wonder if I can make one.

      • I would like to do some printing again myself. One item on a long, long list. I really need to (after I move again, hopefully for the final time) figure out exactly what I want to do. I can’t do everything, that’s for sure.

      • Yes I retire at the end of this year, which I think means I’ll still have to work two days a week. So what to do? Art? Develop new career in environmental science? Activism against our corrupt government?

      • I seem to be less productive in retirement, although to be fair, even beyond the pandemic there has been nothing but disruption in the last 4 years of my life. Not even counting Trump either. But a lot of it is winding down at last I think. Then I’ll try to figure it out.

  1. Re: your thoughts about making a press, I have started to experiment with a gel plate, using leaves and stuff I find on walks. I am at the beginning of a long journey with it but it’s good fun and some of the results feel like they might have a bit of potential for making into something else. My one is from Ranger but other companies produce them. I am currently using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks. I have bought a cheap set of acrylic paints and I am trying to find the courage to have a go with those – well out of my comfort zone.

It’s relatively cheap, certainly compared to a press, so it is not a pricey experiment if it is not for you.
