Well…
What I learned from an artist was to use cobalt blue and Aurelian yellow as the base mix and modify from there. He hated pre mixed greens or phthalocyanine blue in a mix. However, all my greens recently have been muddy. I think I just sussed that this is an inferior blue, perhaps itself a mix, not a pure pigment. So I’ve just bought a different brand to try out but not yet done so. I’ll let you know.
i like the poetry of your blog titles, Kes…
Not original to me
Can you spot the source?
I’m practicing it on the guitar
Can you remind me how you make your greens with watercolour mixing? I think you’ve told me before. I’m looking to replenish my watercolour tin.
