Birmingham Central Library has been rehoused and the old concrete building is being demolished. The machine sprayed the structure with water while clawing at it.
At the beginning of May, during an outing for my son’s birthday, I stood in a vantage point and drew this in fountain pen and conte crayon while waiting for my family to catch up with me.
Looks like a futuristic movie set! (K)
Thanks. That’s what I saw too!
This is great, expressive and accurate at he same time
Was it being demolished in January? Is it near the Council House? If so, it caught my eye too and I took a photo. Actually that may have been a car park. Nice composition and selection of detail. It tells us all that we need to know of the scene. It also reflects that this would be the part everyone passing and the machine operators were focussing on.
It is near the Council House, but I can’t remember when they started.
Thanks for your comment by the way.
